Commenting as the First Minister opened the new upper Forth crossing, the Clackmannanshire Bridge, Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson Alison McInnes said:

"The new Clackmannanshire Bridge will be a valuable link for the local area. New infrastructure links are crucial for businesses across Scotland. That is why Liberal Democrats are fearful for the future of the next Forth crossing, the new Forth Road Bridge.

"This equally important link is being jeopardised by the Scottish Government's refusal to confirm how and when it will be paid for."
