Commenting on reports that Fifa is set to back plans for a Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, Tavish Scott, leader of the Liberal Democrats in Scotland said: "A GB team should only happen if the Scottish national side has a guaranteed place in qualifying for future international football championships.
"We should concentrate on attracting such events - like Euro 2016 - to Scotland. That is the big prize and one that we should all be working on."
