Liberal Democrat Health spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP has called for the drink driving limit to be lowered.
Speaking during a debate in the Scottish Parliament, Mr Finnie said:
"710 Scots were involved in drink driving accidents between 1995 and 2005. Liberal Democrats believe that reducing the drink driving limit will save lives.
"There is overwhelming evidence to support lowering the limit. The Labour Party's dogged persistence with the mealy mouthed Westminster consultation about drink driving is, therefore, disappointing."
